Lovely September Sunshine in Scotland

We’ve had  a great weekend just relaxing and enjoying this fantastic weather!

It’s been a good summer overall with some fab weather for our weddings but to get a few days like this in September is a complete bonus!

Steve was working on Saturday but we did get chance to chill today and unwind after a busy week 🙂

So here are a few photos of Callum and I having some fun – and yes Callum ‘nearly’ managed to give me a Collybucky (piggyback) before we collapsed in a heap.

Long may this summer last.

Have fun 🙂

Yvonne

I just LOVE the photo of Callum giving Yvonne a piggyback, a perfect moment of fun. She’s such a wonderful Mum and I’m so lucky to be married to her 🙂 Hey of course I’m biased, but I can’t think of a better person in the world to plan your wedding! Steve xxx

Friends re-united!

I love Monday mornings!

OK that’s not always true, but today it was a joy to open up the email program.

Why is that?

Well this morning I had not one but two previous couples who had got in touch over the weekend.  One from 2 years ago and one from 5 years ago.

Now it’s always a pleasure to hear from my brides, but it’s an even greater pleasure when they share their wonderful news of the birth of their children!

I think it’s amazing that couples feel so strongly about Me and Scotland that they always keep in touch and share their special news with us.  It’s such a fabulous feeling, hearing their news and sharing their excitement!  What a fabulous job this is!

The first was from Kimberly and Michael who married 5 years ago at Borthwick Castle and are coming back in September to celebrate their 5th Anniversary!

The second was from Grady and Jen Brumbaugh who have just had their first child. A little boy, Calum Victor!  Welcome to the world Calum and what a great name you have.  There are lots of other great Callum’s in the world too!  😉

Here’s a photo of wee Calum just after he arrived!

Welcome to the world Calum!

So, thanks again for brightening up my Monday, and to all of our couples out there….Stay in touch!

Love

Yvonne

I remember when ‘our’ Callum was that peaceful 😉 He he, no such peace these days, ’11-teen’ and all that 🙂

‘Wedding Pop Video’ MarryOke (VIDEO]

Looking for something truly ‘different’ with your wedding video….

Check this one out!  Steve had a mad couple who wanted to have some real fun on their wedding day, and this is the result.  Completely ‘off the wall’ but great fun nevertheless.

Watch the outtakes at the end too, great fun!

Oh yes, that was a fun day! A crazy couple, brilliant guests, awesome photographer (Gordon McGowan) and the sun even shone. Something really special!!

Callum has some fun… Pop [Video]

Sorry, another non-wedding related post here….

Callum and three of his friends wanted to make a ‘Pop Video’ so a couple of weekends ago, Steve and I took them to various locations in Edinburgh and filmed them ‘performing’. They were a little shy at first but soon got comfortable and got into the groove 🙂 They had an absolutely terrific time making this video.

Steve put it all together last week, so I thought I’d share it with you now, it’s just a piece of fun but thought it might make you smile.

Oh to be 11years old again…. 🙂

These 4 boys are wonderful. I hope to see them grow up and be great friends and look back on the fun they had.

I often think that too Chuck, when at weddings listening to the wedding speeches…. I wonder who’ll be standing beside Callum as his Best Man and Ushers?! A long way off…. but one day 🙂 I love being a dad!!

What a neat way to spend a day! They look like they had a blast. Steve, your talent is awesome!

I LOVE this video, it just makes me smile every time I watch it! The boys already have planned what they want to do this year! Can’t wait to see it!

Edinburgh – The Fantastic Festival City

August is simply a brilliant time to be in Edinburgh.

The city’s population just about doubles as thousands of acts and visitors flock to the biggest arts, comedy  and culture festivals in the world.

The sheer vibrance and fun of Edinburgh at this time of year is something you can only experience by being here!

Steve, Callum and I spent a fabulous day last Sunday walking around town enjoying some of the dozens of street theatre acts throughout the day and we had a really great day out.  Lovely weather, great buzz around town and just a happy, fun place to be.

I just adore my home city!!  I don’t think I could ever leave Edinburgh!!

Steve took his camera as usual and here are a few photos from the day, with a couple of the more ‘eccentric’ street acts that we came across.

Have fun, and if you plan to come to Scotland you really MUST visit Edinburgh, the capital city and the best city in our wonderful country!!!

Yep, I love this city too! The unparalleled historic beauty, the warm welcome and fabulous hospitality, the romance and the sheer variety of things to do and see – all wrapped up in a modern, vibrant and fun city. Edinburgh rocks!
