Scottish Wedding Coordinator of the Year 2013 – Scotland Overall Winner – Scottish Wedding Awards

What can I say but WOW!

Last night Steve and I attended the inaugural Scottish Wedding Awards 2013 in Glasgow.

I was stunned and delighted to be given the award for Wedding Coordinator of the Year 2013!

Firstly they announced the regional finalists from each part of Scotland so the initial surprise from winning the South East region award quickly turned to utter joy when my name was announced as the overall winner for Scotland! As I said, WOW!

After a short acceptance speech (don’t worry, I didn’t do a Gwyneth Paltrow Oscar weepie) it was off for press photos, interview and then back to the table to start the celebrations in earnest.

It was a really fun event and we had a great time meeting some lovely new people, and making some very interesting new contacts.

How do I feel? I’m utterly delighted and proud to receive this award.
Thanks to everyone who voted for me

Salut!

Yvonne

10 years on, Kim and John return to Scotland

March 15.

I think that one of the greatest testimonials I could ever ask for  is when couples who I helped marry come back to Scotland to renew their vows, and ask me to plan it all over again!  I really do think that says a lot about the long lasting friendships I make with my couples. They are so much more than just ‘clients’!

Kim and John came to Scotland to get married in Duns Castle 10 years ago with a small group of family and friends.  They had a fabulous time and it’s been good to stay in touch with them over the years, so I was delighted when they got in touch to start planning their return trip. Their return trip involved two extra special additions… their twin boys Kale & Aiden.

They had a renewal of vows ceremony conducted by the lovely Duncan Robertson, followed by an afternoon of fun, photos (Thanks to Sarah Elizabeth Photography)  and reliving their experiences from 10 years ago, on March 15.  In fact their story goes further than that in that March 15 was very significant for a whole bunch of events in their lives, but we can leave that to the lovely wedding film below filmed by Cherry Tree Films

It was wonderful to see Kim & John again, and I look forward to seeing them again in another 10 years!

Here’s a short film that Cherry Tree Films made of the day.

Wedding Films in Scotland

Just posting because I love this so much.  I spend far too much time watching Wedding Film clips online (such a softie!)

This one just makes me well up and I wasn’t even co-ordinating it!  Lydia is just gorgeous and Neil… well what a smoothie.  They are just SO much in love, and SO genuine.

Thanks to Cherry Tree Films for sharing.

Enjoy!

Happy Fifth Wedding Anniversary!

5 years ago today Chuck & Tracy got married!

It was such a pleasure helping you guys plan your special day, and a special day it was!

I had such a great time, the weather was perfect and there was just so much love and laughter!

Tracy hadn’t seen the rings before the ceremony, which had been specially made with absolutely stunning celtic engraved designs, so it was an especially breathtaking moment when she saw them!!

Tracy and Chuck, you are such a lovely couple and I wish you all the best for the next five years together! Maybe come back and see us when it’s your 10th? 🙂

Congratulations again!

Chuck Deleacaes - June 1, 2012 - 9:48 pm

Because of your amazing wedding planning Yvonne, those incredible memories will be with us always. And yes, we will return there again hopefully sooner than later where it all started at Castle Campbell.

Dalhousie Castle Wedding Video – Paige & Chris’ Wedding

Here’s a lovely highlights film for one of my recent weddings at Dalhousie Castle.

Chris has been living  and working in Scotland as an Ice Hockey Player for the Dundee Stars for a while now, a long way from his native Michigan, and a long way from Paige.  It’s been tough for Paige and Chris to be so far apart for so long,  but their wedding in Scotland was a truly special day for them both.

I’m so privileged to be a part of things, and planning a day that means just so much to them both has been an absolute pleasure. It’s most certainly a day of love, laughter and fun.  Yes, it was a total hoot and we all had a brilliant day 🙂

Paige & Chris are so very much in love, and I think this wedding film clip captures both that emotion, but also the fun of the day just perfectly.

Thanks to Cherry Tree Films for permission to share it with you.

Paige & Chris, I know you are going to be so happy together.  Carry on enjoying life as much as you do, and take good care of each other along the way!

Yvonne
